*RARE AND DESIRABLE COLT MODEL 1907 MILITARY CONTRACT PISTOL WITH COLT FACTORY LETTER.

SN 157. Cal. 45 Rimless/Smokeless. 5″ bbl. Blue finish, checkered walnut grips. This pistol is one of 201 made as a military contract to the US Government. Left side of slide shows Colt’s Patent mark and 2-line address. Right side of the frame reads “AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 45 RIMLESS SMOKELESS”. Left side of frame shows SN stamped above trigger guard bow. Trigger guard bow shows military inspector stamp “K. M.” on left forward bow. No other marks are visible on the pistol. The pistol has a lanyard ring attached to the butt on the left side of frame. There is an external indicator on the slide to show if the chamber is loaded. Pistol has a spur hammer and a grip safety.Accompanied with the gun ia a Colt Factory letter detailing its configuration and special order features.Serial number 157 was shipped cal 45/c with 5 inch barrel and blue finish. Special features are listed as ,Furnished with a modified hammer, a nearly vertical ejection, the extractor milled into the top of the slide that indicates chamber loaded,an automatic safety, a straightened stirrup,a lengthened trigger stirrup pin, a clip type magazine release at rear of butt, below the grip”United States Government”. Shipped to Springfield Armory Springfield Massachusetts March 17 1908. Group of 200 guns in shipment. CONDITION: Very fine. Slide is a smooth polished finish overall with sharp markings. Slide appears to have had an application of cold blue at sometime in the past. No polishing is evident. Frame shows 90% blue finish that is turning somewhat plum color. SN and inspector marks are sharp. Frame shows some slight handling marks. Fire blue parts, grip safety, trigger, hold open latch, screws, and pins all retain a generous amount of fire blue. Hammer shows nearly all of the original case coloring. Firing pin shows straw finish. Grips are fine with sharp checkering and very little evidence of handling. Magazine retains 80% blue with wear marks on front and rear. Mechanics are jammed and need attention; pistol is stuck on full cock. *EXCEPTIONAL MAUSER BOLO PISTOL RIG WITH STOCK AND HOLSTER.

SN 844754. Cal. 7.63MM. 4″ bbl. Deep rust blue finish overall, with fire blue appointments on trigger, safety, and sight. Later short extractor variation with new safety marked hammer. Traditional Mauser banner markings on left side of frame. Traditional 22 groove commercial walnut grips. Complete with Mauser banner marked holster stock and period commercial leather hanger with cleaning rod. CONDITION: Very fine overall with typical slight finish loss at highpoints of rails, sight bolsters, chamber area, and as expected at muzzle. Leading edges of frame and magazine well have slight finish loss from holster carry. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Mechanics are fine. All visible numbers, including grips, have been found to be matching on pistol itself. Shoulder stock iron is numbered to another gun, but fits well. Stock itself has numerous small bruises and abrasions, but no major distress other than typical cracking above latch and at hinge. Evidence of having previously been lightly cleaned and possibly sanded at a previous date. *ELEGANT DWM ARTILLERY LUGER WITH SNAIL DRUM AND CARRY POUCH.

SN 461. Cal. 9mm. 8″ bbl. Blue finish overall with straw finish control levers and trigger. DWM marked toggle with chamber dated 1914. Adjustable rear sight with graduations 1-8 with early fine screws on both front and rear sights. Fine early 3-digit SN example. 2-pc checkered walnut stocks, complete with wood based magazine and 1st pattern 32 rnd snail drum marked “B/N” for manufacturer and SN’d 80155. A contemporary snail drum pouch is included with this rig with little known as to the manufacturer or origin of pouch. CONDITION: Very fine overall, with most rust blue finish remaining, with typical slight loss of finish at forward edge of frame, high points of sights and rear of stock lug. Straw finish has faded with only 25-30% remaining on trigger, takedown latch and even less on safety. Bore is frosted with sharp rifling. After detailed disassembly, all numbers found to be matching with exception of wood base magazine and unnumbered grips. Bolt hold open has unusual coloring from possible earlier repair but numbered properly and functions properly. Mechanics are crisp. Snail drum is very fine with good spring tension and appears functional in all manner. Most blue finish remains and is a far above average example. SN 1903. Cal. 38 Spcl. Scarce target version with full nickel finish. 5-screw action with pinned bbl. Bbl is 6-1/2″ rnd with square cut blade front sight and U notch adjustable rear sight. 6-shot fluted cylinder. Nickel finish with case colored hammer and trigger. Rnd butt pearl grips have gold S&W medallions. Frame and bbl have matching SN’s. In continuous production since 1899, the current version of this famed revolver is known as the Model 10. Includes S&W factory letter signed by historian Roy G. Jinks. Letter states this revolver was shipped on April 24, 1900 to Kinco, Maine. PROVENANCE: The collection of Robert Roughton. CONDITION: Very good condition, retaining over 95% nickel finish. Hammer and trigger retain 95% case colors. Right grip panel is chipped at bottom of frame. SN 68344. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ bbl. Choke FULL. Plain steel bbl with steel front bead. Fancy flowing grained European walnut stock checkered in 3-point pattern with lovely Creedmore grip and 13-5/8″ LOP over orig Marlin lined HRBP. Forearm checkered in 3-point pattern. Receiver is nicely engraved with 5 ducks in flight on left, 2 pigeons on right, and about 30-40% light scroll coverage. SN stamped in engraved floral pattern in bottom of frame. WEIGHT: 7 lbs, 7 ozs. PROVENANCE: Estate collection of Russell Grinnell. CONDITION: Very fine. Appears totally orig and collector quality. Bbl retains approximately 90-95% beautifully toned orig blue finish. *EXTREMELY RARE MARLIN MODEL 24-D, 12 GAUGE PUMP SHOTGUN.

SN 127848. Cal. 12 ga. Beautiful high-grade deluxe shotgun with a gorgeous Damascus pattern. 30″ full choke bbl, matted top rib with very fine raised matted panel on the receiver. It has beautifully grained, extremely fine checkered, French walnut wood with round forearm and Creedmore grip stock, 13-1/2″ LOP over orig Marlin lined HRBP. The receiver is beautifully engraved with a large oval vignette of four partridge in a mountain scene. The partridge in the foreground is semi-relief engraved. The right side has two vignettes, the larger is a semi-relief standing woodcock with pine forest in the background and the smaller vignette on the bolt has two flying woodcock. The balance of the receiver has about 40-50% coverage, very fine, extremely well executed arabesque scrolls with several different types of border patterns. There are other smaller flourishes of engraving over the top of the receiver and top tang with two nice flowers on the bottom of the receiver. No engraver’s signature was observed. Four screws on right, three screws on left are gold plated as is trigger. WEIGHT: 7 lbs, 7 ozs. PROVENANCE: Estate collection of Russell Grinnell. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl retains about 90% dark Damascus pattern and the receiver 60-70% orig blue. Trigger, screws and pins were all orig gold plated. Trigger retains about 60% gold wash. Dbl triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern appears to be beautifully figured French walnut with 14-1/4″ LOP over lined HRBP. Splinter forearm with roll-type release and triangular ebony tip is near fully checkered in 2-point pattern. Receiver is nicely engraved with scroll engraving and oval game scenes at back of locks. All visible SN’s match. Accompanied by an old Bauer Bros Mfg canvas and leather take-down case. WEIGHT: 6 lbx, 12 oz. CONDITION: Fine. Appears as found and untouched. Bbls retain 80-90% strong orig Chain Damascus pattern. Receiver retains 30-40% toned orig case color with some light spotting. Buttstock and forearm are excellent with minor scratches and handling marks throughout and retain 80-90% orig finish. Bores are bright and shiny with some scattered pitting at front of chambers. Custom beavertail forearm also checkered in ribband pattern with roll-type release. Receiver is nicely custom engraved in something comparable to a 21-4 coverage level with flying quail on right, flying woodcock on left in beautiful gold oval accent. *PAIR OF RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1890 PUMP ACTION RIFLES.

1) WINCHESTER 90. SN 743741. Cal. 22 Short. 24″ oct bbl, 3/4 length magazine, take down, blue bbl and magazine, nickel receiver and buttplate. Straight grain American walnut stocks with crescent Patent Mark Model and Cal. designation. Top flat of bbl and breech bears a “WP” proof in an oval which also appears on receiver ring. Upper tang is marked “WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK / MADE IN U.S.A.”. SN is stamped on forward bottom of frame and on lower tang behind trigger guard. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl has been cleaned to a steel grey patina with a little bit of salt and pepper roughness. Markings are sharp. Traces of blue at breech. Sights are very good. Rear sights shows almost all of the blue finish. Bore is frosty with visible rifling. Receiver retains 20-30% of the nickel finish which has flaked to a smooth silver/grey patina. Trigger shows considerable blue as does the hammer. Buttplate retains 80% nickel finish with a few light erosion spots. Markings are sharp. Stocks are very good, full sized with very few handling marks overall. Considerable varnish remains on the forend. Mechanics are crisp. A rare Model 90 with a stainless steel bbl and half-nickel finish. C&R 2) WINCHESTER 1890. SN 13555. Cal. 22 RF. 23-1/2″ oct bbl, 3/4 length magazine, blue and case colored finish. Straight grain American walnut stocks with crescent steel buttplate. Bbl shows 2-line address rolled on top in front of rear sight. Front sight is blade type; rear sight is simple notch type. Upper tang of receiver is marked “WINCHESTER / MODEL 1890 / PAT. JUNE 26-88”. SN is stamped on lower tang behind trigger guard. SN is of the correct range for this model. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl shows a smooth mottled grey patina overall with slight traces of blue around the sights. Markings are sharp. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Magazine tube is also a smooth silver/grey patina. Receiver shows a mottled grey/brown patina overall with a trace of case color on the left top beside the bolt. Tang markings are sharp. Stocks are very good, full sized with some staining at the wrist and buttplate. Stocks show considerable varnish finish with light handling marks overall. Mechanics are crisp. SN 224PY01161. Cal. 9.3 x 74R. 24″ Browning marked rifle bbls with quarter rib, are fitted with claw bases. 26″ 20 ga bbls with ventilated rib are marked for IC and IMod. Blued superlight type action is engraved with grade “1” style scroll. Nicely figured American walnut straight grip stock measures 14-1/4″ over Browning buttplate. Removable schnabeled forend serves both bbl sets. Rifle is fitted with sling loops. Shotgun: Drop at heel: 2-3/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 6 oz. LOP: 14-1/4″. *OUTSTANDING COLLECTOR’S LOT OF WINCHESTER 1894’S CHAMBERED FOR 32-40.

1) WINCHESTER 1894. SN 189341. Cal. 32-40. 20″ rnd bbl, full magazine, full blue finish, straight grain American walnut stocks with steel carbine buttplate. Bbl shows 2-line Winchester address rolled in front of rear sight with Cal. designation to the rear. Front sight is of the beaded blade type, bead is missing. Rear sight is of the ladder variety. Lyman tang sight. SN is stamped on the forward bottom part of receiver. Tang sight was not removed. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube are grey/brown patina with traces of blue in protected areas. There is some erosion on the left side of the bbl and tube at the mid-point in front of the forend. Bbl markings are sharp. Sights very good. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Receiver retains 20% blue in protected areas, especially around the saddle ring and hammer with the balance drifting to a silver/grey patina. Receiver has a few light scratches and handling marks. Hammer and lever both show a smooth grey/brown patina with hints of case color. Tang sight shows traces of blue. Stocks are very good, full sized and show only minor handling marks overall. Buttstock has some roughness behind the lower tang. Buttplate is a crusty, mottled brown patina with high point wear at the heel and toe. Rear band shows traces of blue with the balance being silver/grey. Front band shows traces of blue with some erosion on the bottom. Mechanics are crisp. An opportunity to obtain a nice Model 1894 carbine in a rare caliber. C&R 2) WINCHESTER 1886. SN 109854. Cal. 45-70, 26″ oct bbl, full magazine, 1/2 nickel front sight with set screw, 1000 yd. ladder rear sight. Top of bbl is marked “MANUFACTURED BY THE / WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A.” Standard receiver mounted with straight grain walnut, uncheckered straight grip, crescent steel buttplate, standard forend with nose cap. CONDITION: Very Good to Fine. Bbl retains 75-80% thinning orig blue, bright on sharp edges, normal nicks & dings and some small areas of fine surface oxidation. Mag tube shows excellent orig blue with some normal scratches and some spotty areas showing brown. Receiver has traces of orig case color in protected areas with overall finish being a silver hardening with areas blended with spotty brown patina. Hammer has visible orig case colors on back with sides faded to a silver patina. Lever has good orig colors on side with bottom a blend of brown and silver patina. Stock is sound with some minor nicks & dings and retains a restored Winchester varnish finish. Forend is sound with some minor nicks & dings, retaining a thin coat of added finish blending with hand-worn patina. Nose cap is silver hardening with gray patina. LOT OF TWO ANTIQUE COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVERS.

1) COLT SAA. SN 147203. Cal. 41 Colt. 4-3/4″ bbl. Blue and case color finish. 2-pc checkered hard rubber grips with American eagle logo. 2-line Colt address is rolled on top of bbl with Cal. mark on left side. SNs marked on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Cylinder is not marked, SNs match; grips show different number.
CONDITION: Very good. Revolver shows a plum-brown patina overall with muzzle wear and traces of blue in protected areas. Markings are sharp, front sight is full sized. Bore is frosty with visible rifling. Chambers are clean, bushing is free, face of cylinder shows some erosion. Loading gate fits. Cylinder base pin and screw are replacements. Grips are very good, right grip has repair at the heel. Mechanics are functional. A nice example of a black powder frame Colt six-shooter. 2) COLT SAA. SN 176127. Cal. 41 Colt. 5-1/2″ bbl, blue and case color finish, 2-pc hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Bbl shows 1-line Colt address on top with Cal. mark on left side. SNs match on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Cylinder is not numbered. Frame shows 2-line Colt patent mark on left side, followed by a Rampant Colt logo in a circle. Assembly number 374 is stamped on loading gate, no further disassembly was affected. Grips have SN from different gun, but fit well. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube are both a smooth grey-brown patina, markings are sharp, bore is frosty with strong rifling. Frame is also a smooth grey patina with hints of case color. All markings are sharp. Backstrap and trigger guard show generous traces of blue with the balance being a grey-brown patina. Cylinder is grey-brown overall, chambers are clean, bushing is free. Hammer shows a generous amount of case color on both sides. Mechanics function, timing needs attention. SN 3388. Cal. 36. Standard configuration made in 1851 with 1-line New York address, 7-1/2″ oct bbl with rolled Ormsby naval battle scene. This is an honest “as found” gun, all matching with pleasant dark patina. PROVENANCE: The Confederate and Civil War estate collection of Fred Donaldson. CONDITION: Good to very good overall. Metal is a mottled brown with staining and pitting overall. Good markings. Cylinder scene 70% discernible. Brass backstrap and trigger guard retain about half of their orig silver finish. Grips are weathered with chipped toes and slightly undersized fit, not removed to check for matching SN, though all metal parts have matching numbers including loading arm and wedge.
