Wood work done by Bud Barrett of Rye, NH. *GORGEOUS CUSTOM WINCHESTER MODEL 21, 20 GAUGE SHOTGUN.SN 15753. Cal. 20 ga. 28″ bbls with chamber marked for 2-3/4″, chokes marked MOD/FULL. Full length matted top rib with steel front bead. Dbl triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Gorgeous custom flame grained American walnut buttstock checkered with ribband through wrist and checkered side panels. Skeleton cap on checkered full pistol grip and 14-1/2″ LOP over SSBP. Custom beavertail forearm also checkered in ribband pattern with roll-type release. Receiver is nicely custom engraved in something comparable to a 21-4 coverage level with flying quail on right, flying woodcock on left in beautiful gold oval accent. Trigger plate with flying woodcock and similar gold circle. Trigger guard with burst of scroll engraving. All visible SN’s match. WEIGHT: 6 lbs, 14 ozs. PROVENANCE: The Forrest G. Rhodes collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retaining virtually all custom finish to both wood and metal. May have been fired since being customized but very little if so. Bores are excellent. Mechanics are crisp.
