Preview: June 28, 2002

Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The prices noted here after the auction are considered unofficial and do not become official until after the 46th day.

When purchasing unsold lots, it is important to note:

1. Some consignors may decide not to sell even if the offer is in or above estimate; whereas some consignors might consider an offer below estimate.
2. If you submit an offer, our policy is to convey the offer to the consignor. If they accept, we get back to you as soon as the consignor approves.
3. If you are interested in an item, it is imperative that you submit your offer immediately. Assuming a consignor is willing to sell, everything is on a first come, first served basis.
4. It is also important to note because of the tremendous amount of responses we receive, that we cannot respond to everyone. On the more mature offers, we try to personally get back to you even if the consignor declines. However, on low offers if they are declined by the consignor, we may not have time to respond to you.
5. If you are successful, once we receive approval from the consignor, we will get back to you immediately.
6. Because of the great amount of activity it is very difficult to get back to offer makers if their offer is not accepted so this is not really a "haggling" process and we encourage you, if you want the lot, to make your very best offer on the first go round.
7. If your offer is accepted, you will receive an "offer to buy form" which must be signed to confirm you purchase.
8. All post auction sales fall under the Conditions of Sale for the auction, and the 45 day guarantee starts the last day of the live auction.

Please note that if your offer is accepted, it is subject to the Buyer's Premium just as it would be if you bought at the auction.

From the matting it appears that the top margin is cut off, which is not the case. This piece was matted this way because the upper right corner margin was damaged. Rather than repair it, they matted it this way. HOWEVER, be advised that in matting this piece it was permanently pasted to the mat board, so this is the best look the piece can have. 1-27871 (800-1,200)
