Frame retains about half of its orig case color starting to thin on bottom of frame at front, and some color hidden by engraving elsewhere. Buttstock is very good and retains about 70% of orig hand rubbed finish starting to thin on left side at cheek with minor handling marks throughout and nice open pores. Forearm is very good and retains most of its orig finish though there are two areas at the frame where there is wood loss, approx 1/4″ x 1/2″ though this is a very easy restoration and can be made invisible by many of today’s wood restorers. Mechanics are very good, ejectors slightly out of time, brilliant shiny bores. This gun would benefit from a very gentle cleaning. 51603-1 JSL (5,000-7,500) C&R – Lot 2281
