1) P BERETTA 418. SN 34380A. Cal. 25ACP. Beretta Model 418 semi-automatic pocket pistol. 2-1/4″ bbl, full blue finish, 2-pc plastic grips with Beretta logo embossed. Left side of slide reads “P.BERETTA-CAL. 6.35-BREVET” over “GARDONE VT.-ITALIA”. SN is stamped on right side of frame over trigger and on right side of slide. Italian proofs are stamped on left rear of receiver and left rear of slide. “1949” is also stamped designating the year of manufacture. CONDITION: Fine. Slide retains 95%+ blue with a few scratches, high point marks and sharp markings. Frame shows 95%+ blue with sharp markings. Grips are very good, intact with clear logos. SN is stamped on right side of frame above trigger and on right rear of slide. “Made in Spain for Colt’s” is stamped on right side of frame behind trigger. Trigger and mag are nickel plated. Mag is stamped Colt on base. Pistol is housed in a red box with Colt logo on top. End label shows model, cal, and SN of this pistol. Box contains instruction sheet. CONDITION: Fine. Slide retains 99% blue that has drifted to a smooth plum patina with a few scratches and slight muzzle wear. Markings are sharp. Frame retains 99% blue that is also drifting to a plum patina on trigger guard and forestrap. Frame markings are sharp. Grips are fine, intact with sharp checkering. Trigger and magazine show nearly all nickel finish with some light scratch marks. Box is very good with intact label and only slight edge wear overall. Instructions are not oil-stained. Full blue finish with checkered 2-pc walnut grips having colt medallions. Left side of frame shows two-line Colt address and patent mark. Right side of slide shows two-line Colt cal designation. SN is stamped on left side of frame above trigger. Last four digits of SN appear on the inside rear of slide. Mag base is marked Cal. 25 over Colt. Pistol is housed in a suede leather purse holster. CONDITION: Very good. Slide retains 60% blue finish with some roughness toward the muzzle, scratches, and high point wear overall. Markings are sharp. Frame retains 70% blue with most of the wear on the trigger guard and forestrap. Trigger, safety lever, and grip safety show a considerable amount of case color finish. Grips are very good, intact, and show some light abrasion marks overall. Mag retains most of the blue finish with a distinct temper mark. Mag mark is clear. Purse holster is very good, intact, and shows handling marks and stains overall. A nice Colt model 1908 with a very good purse holster in above average condition. 1) HELWAN CUTAWAY MODEL. SN 99999. Cal. 9mm Parabellum. 4-1/2″ bbl. Extremely rare cutaway example of the Egyptian Helwan pistol with the bbl cut away from 1-1/2″ from muzzle to the mouth of the chamber on left side. Slide is also cut away this entire distance and continuing to a point even with the rear sight, exposing the firing pin. Other parts of mechanism exposed as seen in photos. Mag retains five dummy nickel plated cartridges. Included is an orig cardboard box. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is mint with some light handling marks to grips, and evidence of the slide being pulled back. Deep lustrous blue with red and yellow paint where metal and grips have been cut away. 2) HUSQVARNA LAHTI. SN D6690. Cal. 9mm. 4-3/4″ bbl. Robust and hefty Lahti pistol complete and orig Curry & Frye pebble-finish holster with three mags, takedown tool, and cleaning rod. Typical markings with proof at rear of frame. No markings at front of frame above trigger guard. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Near 100% as refinished over an area of noticeable heavy pitting at front right side of frame with a couple of small nicks and faint bead blasted texture on remaining metal parts. Bore is excellent, shiny and bright. Orig hard plastic grips in extremely fine condition. A fine rig for the WWII collector. C&R 3) ROGAK P-18. SN 2257X. Cal. 9mm.. Matte stainless finish with 5-1/2″ bbl, fixed sights and mounted with thumb-rest checkered black plastic grips. Accompanied by one 18 rnd stainless magazine with black plastic base. Pistol is double action with thumb safety on the slide. Right side of the slide is marked “ROGAK, INC., MORTON GROVE, ILL., USA” and the left side is marked “L.E.S. R-18H CAL. 9 MM PARA.” Left side also has the L.E.S. Corporation stalking cougar logo. Pistol is double action/single action. Accompanied by its orig Styrofoam 2-pc box and owners manual. CONDITION: Extremely fine with only traces of edge wear on leading edges of slide and high points of trigger guard and rear of frame. Bore and mechanics are excellent, however, a very slight crack is evident in the left grip leading from its retention screw. C&R 2) MANUFRANCE LEFRANCAS. SN 143174. Cal. 25ACP. 2-3/8″ tip-up bbl. 7-rnd magazine capacity, rust blue finish with case colored appointments. 2-pc “Manufrance” logo checkered plastic grips. Scarce pocket auto, sometimes marketed as “The Policeman”. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with over 95% of orig finish in place with several minor scratches on slide and with evidence of poor storage and corrosion spotting on magazine only. C&R 2) BROWNING BABY. SN 189763. Cal. 25ACP. 2-1/8″ bbl, high polish blue finish overall with 2-pc Browning logo black checkered grips. 6-rnd magazine capacity with steel frame and fixed sights. Single auction striker fired design in Browning red and black plastic shipping box with Browning manual SNd to gun with purchase date of August 1964. CONDITION: As new or if used, very little so. Automatic Pistol” over “Norarmco MT. Clemens, Mich.”. SN is stamped on left side of the frame above trigger. Mag is not marked. This pistol is a take-off of the Walther TPH design in dbl action with rolling block safety. Pistol is housed in a box with an end label confirming features and SN. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Fine. Pistol shows a matte stainless steel finish overall. Bore is bright with strong rifling. All markings are sharp. Pistol has some brown oil staining. Grips are also fine, intact with sharp checkering. Mag is slightly stained with a few scratch marks. Warranty card is in box. Box is in very good condition with only minor abrasions. 2) BUDICHOWSKY TP-70. SN ASP07. Cal. .22LR. 2-5/8″ bbl. All stainless steel construction. It was the 1980’s answer for the outcry of small pocket autos. Manufactured in very small quantities in cals .22 and .25. They were known for extremely high quality and reliability. 6 rnd mag capacity. Sgl and dbl action operation with 2-pc checkered plastic grips. Included with its numbers matching cardboard box. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: As new with evidence of having been fired and not cleaned, but no distress is evident. Action and operation is extremely stiff as is evident from sitting for a very long period without having been used, cleaned, or having an application of oil. 3) ASTRA CUB. SN 100,000. Cal 22 Short. 2-5/16″ bbl, full nickel finish, 2-pc faux pearl grips. Left side of slide has agent mark which reads “Maranda Police Equipment” over “Montreal”. Right side of slide shows caliber mark followed by “Made in Spain”. SN appears on right side of frame over trigger and on the right rear of the slide. Spanish proof marks are stamped on left side of frame above trigger and left rear of slide near hammer. Bottom of magazine is marked “Astra”. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Fine. Slide retains nearly all of the nickel finish with minuscule handling marks & scratches overall. All markings are sharp. Frame also retains nearly all of the nickel finish with slight handling marks and sharp stampings. Grips are fine, intact and show some light surface scratching. Magazine also retains nearly all the nickel finish with some scratches and slight erosion on the base plate. Marking is sharp. A very unique, seldom seen Astra Cub made for police use. 4) MERCURY 622. SN 151611. Cal 22 LR. 2-3/8″ bbl, full blue finish, white plastic grips. Left side of slide is marked “Mercury” over “Made in Belgium”. Right side of slide is marked “Model 622 C. 22LR”. under ejector port. SN is stamped on right side of frame above trigger. SN also appears on right side of slide behind ejector port. Magazine is not marked. Grips show “M” in a circle above “Liege”. Trigger and mag latch show nearly all the case colored finish. Hammer and safety latch retain nearly all the blue/black finish. Cal. .32 ACP. 3-1/2″ bbl, blue finish, checkered hard rubber grips with Remington-U.M.C. trademark in a circle. Matted top flat of slide shows Remington-U.M.C. address and Pedersen patent mark. Left side of frame has SN stamped over trigger. Right side of frame has Remington trademark stamped over trigger. Breech of bbl is marked 32 Cal, as is the left bottom side of mag. Bottom of mag shows a “U” proof. Box has Remington labels on three sides showing model and cal. Box has Remington label inside lid, with instruction sheet for .380 cal pistol. Box also contains service sheet and post card for registration with SN of this pistol noted. Box also contains a small bottle of Rem oil with brochure sheet for same. Included is an open box of ammo containing 47 Remington-U.M.C. cartridges. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Very fine. Slide retains 99% of the blue finish with only a couple slight scratches. Markings are clear. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Frame also retains 99% bright blue finish, with sharp markings. 1) REISING 1915. SN 1213. Cal. .22LR. 6-3/4″ bbl. This high quality Reising Arms. Company pistol comes with an orig Heiser holster and one 12 rnd mag. Blade and notch sights are adjustable with small screws holding them in current position. Typical markings with diamond checkered wooden grips. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: High lustrous refinish with some wear to the high edges, and plumming to the external hammer. Grips show some worn diamond checks. Bore is shiny and bright. Action is tight. Holster is in fine serviceable condition, starting to flake at the top flap, with maker’s mark at fastener and on belt loop. A fine and scarce pistol. C&R 2) WHITNEY WOLVERINE. SN 100369. Cal. 22LR. This classic 1950’s developed Whitney Wolverine pistol was far before its time, using a multitude of modern materials such as lightweight aluminum, pressed steel and Bakelite. With numbers matching box, and cleaning rod and factory paperwork. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine showing little or no use, but slight handling. Box is very fine with some slight oil staining, but excellent label with slight wear on corners. Gun itself is not functioning due to being stored with dried grease. Gun is sold “as is”. C&R 3) REISING POCKET MODEL. SN 2156. Cal. 22LR. 6-3/4″ bbl, 10-rnd magazine capacity with 2-pc brown plastic Reising grips and high polish commercial blue finish overall. Drift adjustable rear sight, single action hammer fired mechanism with commercial pebble grain green box with Reising information inside, including a Reising instruction pamphlet. A Reising marked 22 brass cleaning rod is also housed in box. A date of November 8, 1924 is inked on bottom and on interior of said box. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Unbelievably fine. Very slight blue finish loss evident only from box wear and very minor edge wear at base of grip which is believed from being in box with cleaning rod. Gun is as new with virtually no evidence of every being used. Box is exceptionally fine with slight oil staining on top with no visible external labels but strong corners and suffering no serious distress. C&R 4) COLT PRE-WOODSMAN. SN 49008. Cal 22 LR. 6-5/8″ rnd bbl, adjustable target style sights, full blue finish, 2-pc checkered walnut grips. Top of bbl has 2-line Colt address & patent mark rolled on the top. Left side of slide shows Colt model and caliber designation followed by Rampant Colt logo. SN is stamped on the forestrap. Main spring housing has a checkered thumb print. Magazine is marked “Cal. 22” over “Colt” on base. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Very fine to excellent as professionally refinished. Bbl retains nearly all of the bright blue finish with sharp markings. Adjustable front sight is very good. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Slide also retains 95% blue finish with a few slight scratch marks. Receiver retains 98% blue finish with sharp markings. Magazine shows nearly all of the blue with some slight scratch marks. Grips are fine with sharp checkering and no chips. It appears that this pistol was fitted for a high speed spring housing.
