1) REISING ITS A BEAR. SN 11102. Cal. .22. 7-1/4″ bbl with threaded muzzle adapter most likely for the Maxim Supressor of the period. Manufactured 1920 with Drift adjustable rear sight and 2-pc mother of pearl grips. 10 rnd capacity. Sgl action exposed hammer design with 2-line commercial Reising address with blue finish overall and appropriate Reising marked mag. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very fine overall with viewed numbers matching without detailed disassembly of slide, bbl, and frame. 2-pc mother of pearl grips are fine, however, is missing one grip retention screw on left side. Slight finish loss on metal components with approximately 80% finish remaining and balance somewhat thinning. C&R 2) REISING ITS A BEAR. SN 1001. Cal. .22LR. 7-1/4″ bbl. Very early 4 digit SN first pattern Reising Arms Co. It’s a Bear model with Windage adjustable rears sight and all fist model features such as peacock blue hammer and trigger with push button bbl release and blank base 10 rnd two-tone mag. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Good overall, with large amounts of finish remaining with approximately 50% finish having turned plum and dove. Evidence of some type of repair is visible on right side of frame on top corner of right grip. Bore and mechanics seem fine. Although thin on finish, this is a rarely encountered early variation.
