REMINGTON LEE MODEL 1885 NAVY RIFLE. Cal .45-70. 32-1/2” round bbl. The magazine rear sight, ramrod and extractor spring are replacements. Marked “U.S.N / anchor / No1981 / W.W.K.” on the receiver ring. “H” is stamped on the left side of the stock but this is not a recognized inspector. SN 51023. CONDITION: Bbl, receiver, trigger guard and bands have been draw filed and chemically toned over the remaining pitting. Buttplate is rusted. Stock has been broken in two at the wrist and poorly repaired. There is a large chip missing at the toe and smaller ones elsewhere. There are also vise marks on the forearm. 4-49804 FS52 (500-800)
