NORTH SHORE MASSACHUSETTS QUEEN ANNE MAHOGANY TILT TOP CANDLESTAND. Attributed to Joseph Short, Newburyport, Massachusetts. Second half of the 18th Century. Hinged square top with serpentine edges and blocked corners hinged on a baluster turned standard, raised on a tripod cabriole base terminating in padded slipper feet. SIZE: 26-1/2” h x top 17-1/2” x 18”. CONDITION: Overall very nice condition being professionally cleaned and refinished. Old restoration repair to one foot at ankle, base of standard has been repaired and doweled between each leg with coloration. 9-91461 (1,000-2,000)
