MASSACHUSETTS SHERATON FIGURED MAHOGANY INLAID THREE-DRAWER SEWING TABLE. Rectangular top with canted corners and figured birch cross banding above the conforming case fitted with three long string inlaid drawers, two with ivory escutcheons and the third fitted for a bag. Raised on cylindrical reeded and ring turned slender legs with multiple ring cuffs. Circa 1810. SIZE: 30″ h x 20-1/2″ w x 14-3/4″ d. CONDITION: Old dry finish with minor losses to cross banding on top; Top two drawers with original escutcheons and hardware. Bag slide has original front and slide but has been reconstructed into a drawer. Casters with this table are not mounted. One appears original while three have been matched to original. Old repairs rejoining the four legs to the table top, professionally done. Other minor veneer chips. Otherwise no issues in nice condition overall. 9-91508 (2,000-3,000)
