RARE UMBRELLA SWORD.

RARE UMBRELLA SWORD. We have handled numerous cane swords but this is the first umbrella sword we have ever handled. The umbrella, is fitted with a lovely carved Victorian ivory handle and mounted with a small Mother of Pearl medallion at top. The handle is fastened to the shaft by an elaborate gold repoussed band which when squeezed releases the four-sided 13” blade. The blade is nicely engraved. SIZE: Overall length of umbrella 32”. Ivory handle 5”l. CONDITION: Ivory handle has various age cracks. Nickeled blade in very nice condition. The umbrella itself is used and material has some small damages. 4-50176 (650-950)
