COLT LARGE FRAME LIGHTNING RIFLE. Cal. 38-56-255. Deluxe rifle with 28” oct. bbl, full magazine, silver blade Rocky Mountain front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. Very nicely figured, checkered forearm and pistol grip buttstock with crescent steel buttplate. SN 6109. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 85-90% original blue turning plum in areas. Magazine tube retains 80-85% thinning blue-brown. Receiver retains about 80% thin original blue. Wood is sound and retains 93-95% original varnish with only light diamond point wear on the checkering. Strong bore with lots of shine and scattered pitting. 4-46511 JR127 (4,000-7,000)
