PLAINS INDIAN KNIFE SHEATH. Last quarter of the 19th Century. The front side of the native tanned hide case is fully decorated in a geometric design using sinew sewn seed beads, colors include white, dark blue and white heart red. A 5″ tassel extends from the bottom decorated in white and apple green seed beads along with blue cut glass trade beads and dentalium shell. SIZE: 12″ l. PROVENANCE: Private Western Collection.
