*SCARCE STEVENS MODEL 520-30 MILITARY TRENCH GUN. Cal. 12 ga. Usual configuration with 20” bbl, uncheckered wood with black hard rubber buttplate and military sling swivels. It has an “S” marked perforated steel hand guard with bayonet lug. The left side of the receiver has a small “U.S.” a “P” proof and flaming bomb stamps. The top of the receiver and correspondingly on bbl are “P” proofs. The right side of bbl has another “P” proof and small flaming bomb. SN 67690. CONDITION: Very fine, retains about 95% of its military brushed blue finish to the metal with the bayonet lug a purplish tone. The hand guard has some minor spots of rust pitting. Wood is sound and retains most of its original oiled finish. Bright shiny bore. 4-49604 JR142 (1,000-1,500)
