FINE ORIENTAL IVORY CARVING WITH TWELVE FIGURES. The carving shows twelve male figures surrounding an interesting decorated monolith. Four men have reached the top and carry parasols and baskets. One man is on ladder half way up holding satchel over shoulder. Others are around in various poses. The oval carved ivory base is signed with an inlaid red line, two character signature. Definitely antique and well carved. SIZE: 4-1/2” h. CONDITION: Generally intact. Some figures have small breaks including two hands. 9-95345 (2,000-2,500)
