WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 SPECIAL ORDER RIFLE. Cal 32 WCF (32-20). Standard grade rifle with 24” oct to round bbl, marbles ivory bead front sight and standard semi buckhorn rear sight. It has nicely figured extra finish wood with crescent steel buttplate without trap. Receiver and sideplates are case colored. SN 395739. CONDITION: Good to very good, bbl and magazine tube have traces original finish in sheltered areas being mostly a light patina with fine surface rust and light pitting. The receiver retains 45-55% faded case colors, stronger on the right side with the balance turned silver mixed with dark patina and some scattered fine pitting. Wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish. Strong bright bore with light pitting. 4-49101 JR52 (1,500-2,500)
