EARTHENWARE ENGLISH “SIMON LEGREE” PITCHER. This pitcher was made to commemorate Harriet Beecher Stowe’s visit to London in the 19th Century. The relief decorated pitcher shows a man with whip chasing woman and child. The other side a courtroom scene with people and slave. Tan outside with a white interior. The handle has a black slave relief head. Molded rosette to base. SIZE: 8” h. CONDITION: Very good. 9-95320 (800-1,200)
