YELLOWARE ENGLISH “SIMON LEGREE” PITCHER. This pitcher was made to commemorate Harriet Beecher Stowe’s visit to London in the 19th Century. The relief decorated pitcher shows a man with whip chasing woman and child. The other side a courtroom scene with people and slave. Yellow outside with a greenish/blue interior. The handle has a black slave relief head. SIZE: 9-1/2” h. CONDITION: One small tight hairline on rim base, professional repair to spout. 9-95311 (800-1,200)
