WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32WCF. Standard grade rifle with 24” oct bbl, full magazine, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate without trap. The front sight is a gold washed folding Beech’s and top tang is mounted with a thin base Lyman tang sight. The rear bbl sight is missing. SN 284743. CONDITION: Bbl retains about 85% dull original blue and the magazine tube about 30% blue with the balance a silver metal color. The receiver retains about 80% bright original blue with moderate to heavy rust spotting over the surface. The lever retains traces of case colors and the hammer about 50% colors. Wood is sound and retains about 85% varnish on the forearm and 75% on the buttstock with some dark oil staining at the wrist. Strong dark bore. 4-49375 JR27 (2,500-3,500)
