T.C.B. PITTNER (European, 19th Century) TWO SHIPS AT SUNRISE. Large oil on canvas scene shows one ship sailing right to left with full sails and one ship in foreground with most sails up having bright sun behind sails. Signed lower right and dated 1889. Possibly it could be T or J as the first initial and R. as the first initial of the last name. There is listed a J. B. Rittner. Housed in a reproduction gilt gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 24-3/4” x 39-1/4”. CONDITION: Some repair with inpainting. Very good. 9-94375 (1,000-2,000)
