WILLIAM H WEISMAN (American, 1840-1922) “PIONEERS AT SUNSET”. Spectacular oil on canvas laid on masonite scene shows a western prairie landscape with two men next to tent and covered wagon. A spectacular setting sun sky scene uses 2/3’s of the canvas. Part of a bright yellow sun sets behind clouds and casts rays of light through pink and gray colored clouds against a blue sky. Signed lower right “W H Weisman”. Housed in a fine wide gilt carved wood replacement frame. Vose Gallery label affixed to reverse. SIZE: 29-1/2” x 49”. CONDITION: Very good.
