RECLINING CHINAMAN BANK. This bank manufactured by J & E Stevens, depicts a Chinaman lying on log, holding 4 aces in one hand, motioning with the other hand, while a rat comes out from under the log at his feet. A slur against the Chinese in the late 1880s. SIZE: 8″ l. CONDITION: Left hand and arm replaced, some touch up to the right arm, hand, face and neck, otherwise in very good condition. 1-6182 MC (2,000-3,000)
