A. WILLIAMS (English, 19th Century) THE FERRY RIDE. Oil on canvas scene shows wood ferry with number “88” on side having four horses and three men. One man poles off land, all reflected in water. On shore is a man on brown horse beside white horse with lady and basket. Colonial house is shrouded by trees. Signed bottom right “A. Williams”. Housed in its original fancy gesso decorated frame.
