NEW ENGLAND SHERATON BIRD’S-EYE MAPLE DROP-LEAF TABLE. Circa 1840. The rectangular top with hinged leaves projecting above the conforming frieze fitted with single drawer raised on swelled tapering cylindrical legs with ring-turned cuffs on pointed feet. SIZE: 28-1/2″ h. x 18-1/2″ w. x 40″ d. CONDITION: Large shrinkage crack in center of top, slight warping to one leaf, the whole with extremely weathered and worn surfaces, great figured wood. Table retains most of original height and should restore nicely. 9-90884 (300-500)
