*SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1899 KRAG CARBINE. Cal .30-40. 22” round bbl. The “JLA” cartouche is dated 1901. Sights and action have been updated to Model 1899 configuration although the receiver is marked Model 1898. The firing pin has the small diameter knurled surface at the rear. SN 286446. CONDITION: 85% thinning blue on bbl, 90% thinning blue on the extractor and trigger guard. Buttplate is mostly gray with some pitting. There is a 3” sliver missing from a foreend in front of the magazine, otherwise the wood is very good. Action is fine, bore is very good. 4-49748 FS77 (750-1,250)
