UNSIGNED (American, Mid-19th Century) PORTRAIT OF MOTHER AND CHILD. Outstanding unframed oil on canvas portrait shows half view of young woman seated holding a small child in lap. She wears a white lace dress with red cloth draped over her arm. The child wears a white dress and there is a draped green cloth on right side. Outstanding quality. PROVENANCE: Originally from a Philadelphia Estate. SIZE: 29” x 24”. CONDITION: Original canvas, large tear with scrape approximately 7” long, otherwise very good. 9-27056 (3,500-5,000)
