COLT ARTILLERY MODEL SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal .45 Colt. Scarce all matching artillery with 5-1/2”bbl and 1-pc walnut grips. It has “DFC” inspector marks on the frame, cylinder and bbl with other inspector marks elswhere. It has a small “U.S.” stamped on the left side of the frame and it has bullseye ejector rod head. Accompanied by an English style casing with compartment containing a full sealed box of Frankford Arsenal Ammunition dated 1878 and an L-shaped screwdriver. SN 95032. CONDITION: About very good. Bbl, trigger gurard and backstrap retain most of an old reblue. Frame and hammer are a clean gray patina with traces of case colors in sheltered areas. Cylinder is a worn gray patina with reblued finish in the flutes. Grips have a chipped right toe and retain 50-60% original varnish overall. Strong bright bore, good mechancis. Case is very fine retains most of it s original varnish with light scratches and handling marks. Inside is faded but sound, possibly an old reline.
