*KRAG MODEL 1898 MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-40. Standard rifle with 30” round bbl, pedestal front sight, military rifle rear sight, 1-pc walnut stock with hand guard and partially visible cartouche. It is accompanied by a brass and leather military sling. SN 143672. CONDITION: Very good, bbl retains about 90% dull original blue. The receiver is mostly a blue brown patina, the sideplate and cartridge box are mottled blackish patina. The bolt body has several spots of pitting. The extractor is brown patina. Wood is sound, dark, and oil stained with moderate nicks and dings and a bruise on the comb. The sling has some loose stitching with verdigris and has some dry rot.
