LARGE FRAMED COLORED ENGRAVING “THE WORSHIP OF BACCHUS”. After a painting housed in the National Gallery; printed by R. Holdgate and published June 20th, 1864 by Wilhelm Tweedie, London. Figures outlined on the steel plate by George Cruikshank, & the engraving finished by Charles Mottram. Scene showing a monument surrounded by hundreds of people in a chaotic scene with vignettes. Housed in an antique molded wood frame with gold liner and glass. SIZE: 28-1/2″ x 44-1/2″. CONDITION: Toned with slight fading, otherwise good. 9-91233 (500-1,000)
