A FINE CENTENNIAL CHIPPENDALE CARVED MAHOGANY DISPLAY CABINET. Circa 1880. In two parts, the upper case with dentil-molded cornice above of frieze of blind fretwork over a pair of astragal-glazed doors opening to an interior of three adjustable shelves, stepped back on the table base having an egg-and-dart carved edge above the conforming molded apron raised on molded and chamfered square legs with pierced brackets joined by a pierced serpentine X stretcher on blocked and gadrooned Marlborough feet. SIZE: 73″ h. x 36″ w. x 17-1/2″ d. CONDITION: In fine original condition with excellent color and patina, except bracket missing left rear leg facing. 9-91316 (1,000-2,000)
