IVES FLYING ARTILLERY CAISSON. A large caisson being pulled by four large Ives horses in motion. With two riders and a driver sitting on a caisson pulling large brass cannon, the toy has extremely nice lines and you could almost picture the horses in full gallop. A fairly rare Ives toy appealing to horse drawn collectors as well as military collectors. When you remove the figure, the seat lifts up to reveal a compartment for artillery shells. Would be a great toy for a large mantel in someone’s home. SIZE: 32″ l. CONDITION: Figures are all replacements. Wheels are not original paint. Otherwise toy is in very good condition. 1-6001 MC (1,500-2,000) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2006 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The prices noted here after the auction are considered unofficial and do not become official until after the 46th day. |
