FINE SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS, SHERATON CARVED AND FIGURED MAHOGANY CARD TABLE. Circa 1830. A very nice example with hinged rectangular top with serpentine sides, turret corners, and angular shaped front edge, the edges molded and chamfered above the conforming flame mahogany frieze, raised on strong ring-turned tapered cylindrical reeded legs headed by acanthus- and star-punched capitals with ringed cuffs on pointed feet. SIZE: 30″ h. x 38″ w. x 17-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Very good overall, with professional structural restoration and strengthening. Old repolished surfaces with very good patina and color. Brass-capped casters absent. 9-92104 (2,000-3,000)
