JOHN MARIN (American, 1870-1953) COLLAGE OF JOHN MARIN ITEMS. An interesting collage including etching done in 1948 “Lobster Fisherman”, pencil numbered “122/125” and pencil signed. This etching is No. 172 in Zigrosser’s “The Complete Etchings of John Marin”. A hand written letter signed and dated “April 29/47” in regards to a woman in New Jersey who is interested in acquiring one of his paintings; Also there is a large gelatin silver print titled “John Marin, New Jersey by George Daniell” and signed by the photographer”. The last item is a First Day Cover of an envelope “Honoring Abstract Art”. All housed in a good gilt wood frame with cutout matte. SIZE: Sight: 24″ x 22″.
