HEPPLEWHITE INLAID MAHOGANY BOW-FRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. Circa 1810. Rectangular top with mahogany cross-banding contrasting string inlays above the conforming case fitted with a pair of aligned short drawers over three long graduated bowed drawers, all with string inlaid panels and inlaid shield form escutcheons. Above the shaped apron, raised on shaped French feet. SIZE: 37-1/2″ h x 38-1/2″ h x 23″ d. CONDITION: Very nice overall with old repolished surfaces. Cross banding is intact as are the string inlays, shield form escutcheons are intact. Old brass hardware is not original to chest. Original feet and backboards. Otherwise in very fine condition with no restoration noted. 9-91501 (2,000-4,000)
