LOUIS ALPHONSE ABEL LAUVRAY (French, 1870-1950) “L’ECLUSE SUR LA SEINE”. Oil on canvas summer scene shows a lock handling a large steamship with several other sailboats. Green woods in background with small houses. Signed lower right “Lauvray”. Housed in a magnificent gesso decorated gilt replacement frame with linen liner. Back of stretcher has numbers and title. A round stamp and square stamp on back of canvas. SIZE: 22-3/4” x 30-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good. Two small inpainted areas in sky. 9-94296 (4,000-6,000)
