*LC SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. Featherweight double with 30” bbls choked IMP-MOD/MOD with matted concave rib and double ivory beads. The right bbl is marked “L.C. Smith Specialty Grade” with the Hunter Arms name and address on the left bbl. The receiver and lockplates have coarse foliate arabesque pattern engraving with two quail on the left lockplate and a flying duck on the right. It has double triggers and extractors. Wood is beautifully grained American walnut with a splinter forearm that has the Gutta percha dogs head inlay and semi pistol grip stock 14” over a True Sport Red waffle pad. The forearm has a serrated patented release button installed to aid removal. SN FW25164. CONDITION: About very good, bbls retain about all of a fine reblack finish with spots of cleaned rust on the bottom. The receiver and lockplates have been lightly refinished and are covered with a coating of some sort of varnish. Wood is sound and retains most of a nice oil finish.
