INTERESTING SCRIMSHAW DECORATED COVERED ROUND BOX. Slightly domed lid screws on to cylinder base. The lid has a monogrammed SAM with zig-zag type border. Around the outside of the bottom of the box is an intricate scene of a busy port with steamship, three-mast ship, people, rowboat with men, docks, etc. The backside has two angels holding a cloth with the name “Mary Anne Soper”. The bottom has “Born March 30th, 1873”. Unknown origin and time period. SIZE: 4” h x 3-1/4” dia. CONDITION: Very good. 9-95348 (1,000-1,500)
