*LC SMITH FIELD GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. Field gun with 30” bbls choked FULL/MOD with matted tapered rib and double ivory beads. The receiver and lockplates are undecorated having only the maker’s name on each side. It has double triggers and extractors. Wood is straight grain American walnut with splinter forearm and semi pistol grip stock 14” over a black hard rubber buttplate. SN R117001. CONDITION: Very fine plus. Bbls retain 95-97% strong bright original blue with light edge wear at the muzzle and breech ends and a small scratch at the left bbl. The receiver and lockplates retain most of their original case colors, brilliant on the lockplates and sheltered areas of the receiver turned silver on about half of the bottom. The trigger guard retains most of its original bright blue. Wood is sound and retains most of a fine restored finish. Bright shiny bores. 4-49057 JR123 (600-1,000)
