DECORATED ANTIQUE DOVETAILED BLANKET CHEST. Pine 18th Century six board blanket chest with applied molded edge, bracket base. Lid in one piece with applied side moldings, fastened by offset strap hinges. Interior having lidded till and original lock. Piece has a later 20th Century paint decoration of two panels of potted flowers. Chest is in a blue with red stripes and is missing its front escutcheon plate. SIZE: 25” h x 54-1/2” at widest x 22” d. CONDITION: Old restoration to feet, generally very good. 9-72326 (1,000-1,500)
