MAINE LEGISLATOR’S MAHOGANY SENATE DESK BY KITTINGER. These desks were offered to legislators upon the new replacement of the desks. Desk was purchased for the Maine Senate Chamber in 1960. It was removed in the 1999 renovation of the State House. Brass plaque affixed to desk states this history. Desk has four drawers, file slots attached to side and V-shaped compartment at back of desk to hold books. There is a double file drawer and three single drawers all equipped with locks and brass handles. Burnt branded oval mark of “Kittinger Buffalo”. An interesting piece of Maine history. SIZE: 31” h x 37-1/2” w x 30” d. CONDITION: Good. Some wear to kneehole area and bookshelf. Hole cut in top. 9-95034 (300-500)
