SMITH & WESSON SECOND MODEL SCHOFIELD REVOLVER. Cal 45 S&W. Martially marked with 7” keyhole bbl, half moon front sight with 2-pc walnut grips. There is a “US” on the butt, a visible cartouche on the left grip and tiny inspector initials in the proper places. SN 4167. CONDITION: Good, all matching including the grips, no original finish remain, being a cleaned light gray patina with scattered heavy pitting on bbl and cylinder, lighter on the frame and side plate. The grips have inside stress fractures, otherwise are dark and smooth. Bore is bright and shiny with scattered pitting. The hand spring is broken and one latch screw is a replacement. 4-49611 JR491 (2,000-3,000)
