EDWARD R. SITZMAN (American, 1874-1949) PAIR OF OVAL STILL LIFES. Outstanding pair of pastel table top still lifes. Both identically framed in quarter oak flat frames in oval form with applied gesso decorated edge having a gold trim liner. One shows the tabletop with white table cover having a clear large fruit bowl filled with fruit and having other fruit beside. Other has similar grouping but with glass compote. Fruit includes pineapple, green, purple and red grapes, peaches and apples. Signed lower left “Sitzman”. SIZE: Overall is 27” x 49”. Sight size is 17-1/2” x 39-1/2”. CONDITION: Generally very good. One has rub to area around bottom grapes. 9-72658 (2,000-3,000)
