RARE ALLEN FAUCET BREECH RIFLE. Cal .42. 26-3/4” part oct bbl marked “ALLEN’S PATENT / JULY 2. / 1865” on top of the operating lever. Deluxe walnut stock. SN 101. CONDITION: Smooth blue/brown patina except end of breech block which has been filed. Hammer is a period replacement. Stock has been broken and repaired at the wrist, sanded and refinished. There is a chip missing at the right tip of the forearm. Action is good. 4-49209 FS8 (1,000-2,000)
