STATE OF MAINE SHERATON MUSTARD PAINTED AND STENCILED WASH STAND. Circa 1820. The shaped three-quarter splashguard centering the top with opening for bowl, raised on cylindrical supports joined by a medial shelf fitted with drawer, continuing to tapered cylindrical legs with ringed cuffs. The whole with fine stencil and paint decoration on a mustard ground. SIZE: 37-1/2″ overall h. x 17″ w. x 14″ d. CONDITION: Retains original surfaces, showing losses and wear to paint on work surface. Otherwise very good. 9-91868 (500-700)
