DELUXE MARLIN MODEL 1889 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38WCF (38-40). Fine early deluxe rifle with 24” oct to round bbl, half magazine, very highly figured deluxe checkered wood with pistol grip stock and crescent steel buttplate. Bbl is mounted with silver blade rocky mountain front sight and early marlin semi-buckhorn rear sight. SN 41284. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl and magazine tube are a dark brown patina with fine rust pitting overall. The case colored receiver and buttplate have turned silver mixed with a mottled brown patina. The beautiful wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish. The lever latch is missing. Strong bright bore with scattered light pitting. 4-49353 JR37 (900-1,200)
