WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44WCF (44-40). Standard grade rifle with 24” round bbl, full magazine, Lyman ivory bead front sight with semi buckhorn rear sight. It has uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. SN 3164. CONDITION: Fair to good, the metal is a dark purple brown patina with traces of original blue. The magazine band has been soldered in place. It is missing a foreend cap screw and a receiver screw. The stock has a sliver missing by the right upper tang, otherwise the wood is sound with remains of an old refinish, oil stain at the wrist and end of the forearm. Strong bore with good shine, rusty in the grooves. 4-49407 JR156 (250-400)
