REMINGTON ROLLING BLOCK SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 50-70. Appears to be a New York carbine with 22” bbl, pinched blade front sight, military style rear sight, uncheckered wood with 9-1/4” forearm secured with a single band and straight stock with smooth steel carbine buttplate. The left wrist has the outline of a serpentine inspector mark and possibly the remnants of another square inspector mark. The New York mark could not be found at the right heel. NSN. CONDITION: About good. Bbl retains mostly a blue/brown patina with scattered light surface rust. The receiver, trigger guard and lower tang are a clean metal color with moderate surface pitting. Wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish. Bright shiny bore. 4-49217 JR70 (1,250-1,750)
