GEORGE A. HAYS (American, 1854-1945) “PLOWING IN THE PASTURE”. Oil on canvas scene shows two oxen teams pulling hand held plow with man tending plow and herder up front. Nice impressionistic scene with hills and blue sky. Signed “GA Hays”. Titled, signed and dated 1920 on reverse. Housed in a fine carved period bronze gilt frame. SIZE: 16” x 24”. CONDITION: Varnish discoloration and one small chip in shirt of man. Otherwise very good. 9-96840 (1,500-2,500)
