ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAM AIKEN WALKER (American, 1838-1921) FOUR WATERCOLORS OF AFRICAN-AMERICANS. A framed collage of four separate watercolors of similar size. Each showing a different person standing behind cotton field. One shows woman with basket of cotton on head. One shows woman with cotton basket at feet. Another shows man with cotton sack. Other an older gentleman with beard and hat. All done in black and white watercolor and nicely rendered. Unsigned. Identified on plaque on replaced black painted wood frame and having double black matte. SIZE: Each is approximately 10” x 8”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-96747 (800-1,200)
