EARLY LARGE POWDER HORN.

EARLY LARGE POWDER HORN. Very fine undecorated greenish squad size horn 20” overall with thick pine base plug secured with tiny square pegs. 2-3/4 of the tip is faceted carved with a scalloped edge, the plug has a large iron staple strap hanger. There is a small sticker attached that states this horn was from the “John Frew estate, Frewsburg, NY”. CONDITION: Fine and sound, the plug has several grain checks with evidence of hard use, no bug holes. 4-49189 JR289 (400-600)
