WILLIAM STAPLES DROWN (American, 1856-1915) “FORT SAN MARCO, SEA WALL ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA”. Oil on board scene shows a tranquil ocean next to a sea wall with two mast boat and dingy moored. The fort with its rounded tower is seen beyond. Signed lower left “W. Staples Drown”. Titled and signed on back with date “1893”. Housed in a gilt oak frame with beaded liner having a Charles J.
